When I first started getting into fitness, it was to get stronger & faster for athletics. I had a basketball coach who gave me a basic strength training routine and cardio outline. After competitive basketball ended for me. I kept strength training. I loved how it made me feel, and how it made me look. Throughout university and a couple years after, I worked out for “health”, but mainly aesthetic reasons. Now, I hit the weights for a completely different reason. ⚡️For my long-term health. ⚡️For healthy bones. ⚡️For strong muscles. ⚡️For a brain that works. ⚡️To fight off disease. ⚡️To avoid relying on medication. ⚡️So that I can take care of myself. ⚡️To continue to do the things I love right up until I die of old age. : Why do you workout?
One important goal I think we should all have this year...to have FUN! *️⃣ We all have money problems, deadlines & stressful situations...but that doesn’t mean we have to suffer & be M I S R A B L E to get through it. Ya maybe you can’t afford to rent a yacht and cruise around the Maldives with Chris Hemsworth (me either sister!)...but you don’t need that necessarily to have fun. Carve out time to do fun things every week. I always have a blast when I hangout with my girl friends. Doesn’t cost any money. But it definitely gets me pumped up and smiling for weeks 😍
